It’s hard to believe I designed this nursery almost two years ago! I thought it would be fun to do an updated post to discuss how this space is working for us. Here’s our original reveal post and the mood board I designed for this space. Come take a look around our nursery – while it still is one! My daughter is still using the crib as a crib, but one day we’ll need to update this room and make it into a toddler room. Hopefully that won’t be too soon!

The only update I’ve made since designing this nursery two years ago is swapping out the original fan with a more modern fan. The old fan was starting to not work well so it was time for a new one. We actually have this exact fan in my other daughter’s room and she loves it. We have the black version of this fan in our bedroom as well.
One of the most-asked questions I get is what color is the accent wall behind the crib. The wall color is Accessible Beige by Sherwin Williams. We LOVE this color in this space. Depending on how sunny it is and how much light comes in, it pulls a dark or light beige tone. Either way, it’s beautiful! It’s always important to test paint colors in your own home though, as they pull different tones in everyone’s home. I will say though that this is a really popular paint color and for a good reason!
Our glider was the most expensive purchase we made when designing this space. It has been a wonderful and comfortable glider with our baby. It’s a great size and I love the storage ottoman.
I keep toys and books in the ottoman which has worked really well. I didn’t want a lot of bright colors to clash with the room design, so this works perfectly. We have easy access to toys and books when she wants to use them and can tuck them out of the way and keep a clutter-free look when not in use.
In her baskets, I still keep her stuffed animals and blankets. I got these baskets at Home Goods, but these baskets are a similar option.
The olive tree in the corner is super cute, but we are moving it to our room from now on. The fake olives on the tree are a choking hazard so, to me, it’s not really safe to keep the tree in her room anymore as she gets older. Once she reaches a certain age, we could potentially move it back but for now it’ll go to my bedroom.
The bunny prints are still a favorite of mine. I don’t get tired of them at all and I still think they’re cute as a button.
The deer print on the opposite wall is also cute! One mistake I made on this side of the room is the location of the sconce light. I love the actual light, but I need to move it overtop the nightstand area. It’s too difficult to reach to turn off and on when I’m sitting in the chair with baby girl. Right now, the light requires me to stand up every time I need to turn it off or on, so I will be switching that at some point.
The area rug has been great! We love the colors in it and it’s very easy to vacuum over. It really ties the whole room together.
The changing station works out well. I love this diaper caddy because it will be great for future use too. I envision using this in my car one day for my girls’ things when they get older.
We love the curtain color in here. The original ones I bought are no longer sold but these curtains look exactly like the ones I bought. They are even the same color name: wild rose.
Overall, we’ve really loved this space over the last year and half. I plan to keep this design for the next several years – until it’s time for big girl room.
