Next on my to-do list is to tackle my bedroom makeover. I’ve already completed our sophisticated baby girl nursery and my daughter’s blush bedroom makeover, so it’s finally time to tackle mine!
I’ve been in serious nesting mode over here so I’m using my newfound motivation to tackle as many bedroom makeovers as I can. I put off our bedrooms for so long, so, while we wait for baby girl, it seemed like the perfect time to get them done.
Here’s my mood board for our bedroom refresh!

I want to keep our bedroom refresh as budget-friendly as possible, so I’m keeping our current bedroom set, which includes our Ashley Homestore Demarlos king bed, two nightstands, and matching dresser.
Unfortunately, our bedroom set it no longer sold, but I’ve found some similar options that I’ve rounded up below:
ITEMS IN THE MOOD BOARD:
Lamp – I’ve been obsessing over these lamps for awhile, and while they are a splurge item, I think they will be absolutely beautiful in the space!
Wall Art above bed – I’ve looked so many places for wall art options that are both affordable and beautiful. I found this beautiful option that comes in several sizes and several frame color options!
Chevron area rug – I’m always looking to make our bedroom feel more cozy, and I think this area rug will help make that happen. I’m opting for the 8’6” x 11’6” option, as I think this size will look best under my king size bed. I currently have an 8×10 area rug and it doesn’t feel quite big enough in the space.
Fan – As much as I love a good chandelier, I much prefer to have a fan in the bedroom. I love the cool breeze on me at night so I’m always willing to go for a fan over a chandelier in the bedrooms. I love this modern, affordable black fan.
Vanity desk & stool – I’ve actually already ordered this beautiful vanity set. It comes with a mirror too, but I’m going to swap out the mirror with an arched mirror that’s a bit more modern.
Arch mirror – I found this beautiful one online, but I plan to check out some other stores first – like Home Goods and TJ Maxx – to see if I can find something similar that’s a bit more budget-friendly.
Table lamp on vanity- I recently purchased this lamp and I’ve moved it all over the house. I think it will look great on my new vanity, so that will be my plan!
Art work on dresser – I love this beautiful artwork option but I found a way to make something similar for free! I’ve actually already completed this part of my bedroom refresh. I used an old piece of art and painted joint compound on it for texture. Once it dried, I painted it white and then painted the frame black.
Armoire – I LOVE this gorgeous armoire, though it is definitely a bit expensive. I’m hoping to find something similar on Marketplace and then paint it black to get a similar look.
Pinch pleat curtains – I got pinch pleat curtains in our dining room awhile back and they are absolutely beautiful! I really want to add white pinch pleat curtains to our bedroom to create a high end, custom look.

I can’t wait to get this project done! I’ve already painted the bedroom white and ordered some of the furniture. Now, it’s just a matter of putting it all together!
