Every year Jason and I buy a real Christmas tree. We go to the same Christmas tree farm, take the same hayride to the furthest tree lot possible, walk up and down at least 10 isles, inspect all sides of Christmas trees over 8′, pick out the perfect tree, decide it’s not the perfect tree, find another tree, then end up sawing down the original perfect tree. Did I forget to mention we happily freeze our buns off during this two-hour long scavenger hunt? Except last year. Last year in Maryland was unusually warm. We just needed a light jacket. I HATED IT. One cannot simply wear a light jacket while Christmas tree shopping.

Move me North, but don’t ever move me South. That goes for all times of the year, but especially during the holiday season. Thanks, but no thanks, Florida.
