I created a cozy sitting area by our fireplace today, and it’s making me want to curl up with a hot peach tea and warm blanket, and enjoy a good book.
I’ve been making tons of changes to our living room lately, and one of those changes included rearranging the space. I moved our recliners by this window, and slowly but surely, I’ve started to love them in this space.

So far, I’ve updated this little spot by adding a fresh coat of white paint, swapping out the curtains with custom ones (I used the same ones as I have in our dining room), swapping out our area rug with this gorgeous rug, adding a round mirror, and finally snagging this new end table.

Phew! That feels like a lot of changes and like it’s practically a brand new space. I’ve made all these changes over a month or so, so it hasn’t felt like a lot at once.
After I moved our recliners by the window, it took a little while to get used to. But now that I’ve looked at it for awhile, I’m really happy with how this sweet little cozy sitting area has come together.
One of my favorite parts if that it’s right next to our fireplace. It feels so inviting and warm (literally) sitting in this area!
I also love that our bookcase is near the sitting area. It feels like it was meant to be!
This cozy sitting area has come quite a long way, but I think I still have one more update and that’s to add a console table under the round mirror. Once that’s added, I think it’ll feel complete to me.
I foresee many coffee mornings right in this cozy sitting area!
