Dining room fall decor with pumpkins & florals

My dining room fall decor is all set up and ready to welcome any guests that stop by for a visit.

I feel like I just made it sound like I have tons of guests over, but that’s not the case at all. I really only have family and a few close friends come by regularly. For those that do stop by, here’s the what they see when they walk in. (The black door is the front door to my home.)

I do like to decorate my home for each season for myself, too. I live here, after all. 😉 Plus, I work from home so it’s nice to have a fall-decorated dining room to look at when I’m working in my office, which sits directly next to my dining room. This is the view I get to see from my office:

If you have been following along on Instagram, you’ll know that I wasn’t planning on using any orange in my fall decor this year. But, it just so happens that I decided to use orange. I couldn’t resist. I was at the farmer’s market and I saw these gorgeous muted orange pumpkins, and I had to have them.

I bought several pumpkins including muted orange ones, green ones, and white ones. They’re all various sizes, which always helps when you’re trying to decorate with them.

In addition to using some of the larger pumpkins on my buffet table, I used the rest of the large ones in my dining room hutch.

I created a very simplistic dining room tablescape by adorning my white plates with small white pumpkins. Do you see one pumpkins that doesn’t belong? I bet you didn’t see it until I pointed it out! That’s the beauty of decorating. It doesn’t have to be perfect.

I wanted to add something to the table that had a little oomph. That’s when I decided to craft a DIY pumpkin and floral centerpiece for my dining room table. Here she is in all her glory:

I actually did a Facebook live about it, and I had something go very very wrong.

I’m happy with the way the pumpkin and floral centerpiece turned out. It makes quite a statement in an otherwise simple dining room.
