Happy Friday! Today I’m excited to share my current home and lifestyle faves with you as well as a little update on life lately.

We’ve been super busy over here working on lots of home projects. We’re in the middle of a kitchen renovation, which has been a bit challenging. We are switching out our granite countertop with a white quartz countertop and decided to go ahead and switch out our sink as well, with a new farmhouse sink.
To switch out the sink, we had to remove part of our countertop so the countertop guy could get exact measurements with our new sink installed. All that is done and we are just waiting on our new countertops now. They won’t be installed for another couple weeks which means that we have no countertop in half the kitchen. We are dealing with it, but I’ll be SO happy when I can have countertops throughout my whole kitchen again!
We’re also working on a dining room renovation. We recently got new dining chairs, painted the dining room white, sold a few items and rearranged the furniture. It’s starting to come together but there are still a few big projects left to do in there.
Next up is the window treatments. I ordered custom drapes for the space as well as these beautiful curtain rods. I can’t wait to update you when they come in and I hang them up! I will eventually do an entire post on the drapes and curtain rods so stay tuned for that.
Other than those two renovation projects, we’ve been doing some fun fall things. We love visiting our local farm which has so many fun activities for kids. So far, we’ve picked sunflowers, explored the pumpkin patch, got lost in the corn maze, slid down all the slides and played in all the activity areas. It has been a blast!
Now that you’re caught up on life lately, let’s chat about my current faves!
FRIDAY FAVES:
Homemade Gingerbread Candle
My new gingerbread candle from Antique Candle Co. is so yummy. I have wanted to try Antique Candle Co. candles for a long time, and I’m so glad I finally did.
Homemade gingerbread is their new Christmas scent, but I think it is great for both fall and winter. It smells just like gingerbread baking in the oven. It’s heavenly and reminds me of my childhood.
Farmhouse sink
As part of our mini kitchen renovation, we got a new farmhouse sink. We recently installed it and I’m in love with it! Not only is it beautiful, it’s also super practical for our family. My four year old can now reach her hands into the sink and wash them right in the kitchen. It’s only an inch or two lower than where our original sink/countertop was, but that little bit has made all the difference.
I also love that it came with a removable metal grid tray to be placed in the bottom of the sink. I’ve left it there the whole time we’ve had it, and I haven’t had any issues with our sink getting scratched (even on the sides). I’ll continue to update you on how our sink performs, but so far, so good!

Adidas sneakers
I’ve been on a sneakers kick lately and when I saw that Adidas was having a 30% off sale, I had to snag these comfy shoes. At this moment, it looks like Adidas is still running the 30% off sale using the code OCTOBER.
Before I bought them, I actually went into my local Dick’s Sporting Goods so I could try them on and make sure I wanted them. They are AMAZING! I was worried that they didn’t tie because in the photos on the Adidas site, it doesn’t look like they do. Note to all – the shoelaces do tie together.
I am between sizes and I ended up going with the larger size, but I would say they are true to size. I started wearing them right away and they don’t take anytime to break in. That’s how comfortable they are. I think they are the perfect walking shoe!
Waffle Hoodie
I love this comfy waffle hoodie. I got it in my regular size and it is a bit roomy. The material is super soft and cozy. I think it’s perfect for fall weather!
It is currently on sale but sizes are running out fast. They have four different color options in this so grab your favorite before it’s sold out!
Asymmetrical Fleece
I’ve been eyeing this beautiful asymmetrical fleece for awhile now. They have tons of color options, but I particularly love this new black and cream version with vegan leather.
I like my sweatshirts a bit roomy so I sized up for this. I do think that I could’ve gone with my regular size though and been happy with that too. If you like a more fitted look, I’d say go with your regular size. If you like a bit of room in it, then go up a size.
The fleece on this sweatshirt is incredibly soft and cozy. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase!
Dining chairs
We’ve had our new dining chairs for several weeks now and I still love them so much. We’ve been making it a point to have some of our dinners in the dining room – which is a huge improvement for us! We used to never eat in our dining room for fear of messing up our fabric dining chairs.
Now, we never have to worry about that. Our black wood dining chairs are not only beautiful, they’re practical and well-made. I think these chairs will last for years to come. I am even considering buying more of them to go in our breakfast nook area when we start working on that renovation.

Well, that’s a wrap for me. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day and thanks for hanging out with me!
