Jason and I decided to start working on revamping our outdoor space this spring. Our deck was in serious need of some love so Jason has been working really hard installing new deck boards. He completed the install on our two main decks and I’ve started the painting process, which is still in progress.

We have a little ways to go on the deck itself, but I couldn’t help myself and I went ahead and bought new patio furniture for the space.

I am absolutely obsessed with our new sofa conversation set!

I decided to purchase the four piece conversation set including the sofa, coffee table, and two chairs, for our outdoor space. This set is probably going to be the best purchase of the summer!

It is all so good. I actually put all the furniture together myself because Jason was at work the day it arrived, and obviously I couldn’t wait.

The chairs were definitely easier than the couch because I could lift the pieces easier. But, I managed to put the sofa together all by myself so it is doable with just one person!

Originally, I put the set on our lower deck because our upper deck wasn’t complete yet. I am tickled at how well our cantilever umbrella matches the set. They look like they were made for each other!

I eventually moved the set to our upper deck, which I think is where it will stay. We have a plan for our lower deck that includes a propane fire pit. More on that later!

Quick tip: make sure you measure your space before you purchase any patio furniture outdoor set.

I measured our space and compared the patio furniture dimensions that are posted online to make sure it would definitely fit in our space. This couch and chair set is a good size, which is what I was looking for because we have a fairly large deck to fill.

This set is also sold in components. You can purchase just the couch and coffee table or the two chairs, if you only want one or the other.

I was so happy with this patio furniture purchase that I decided to purchase more BHG products for our dining set.

Even though I didn’t buy the dining table and chair set that matches the sofa set, I find that the Better Homes and Gardens line has a lot of products that mix and match well together, despite being in different collections.

I chose this dining table and these dining chairs to compliment my sofa set.

The dining table was another furniture piece that I put together by myself, and it was definitely doable. Just keep in mind that the top is pretty heavy for one person, so it’s best if you have two people to put it together.

Side note: why is my patio furniture always delivered on days my hubby works? I can never wait for him to get home before I start putting my new items together!

The dining chairs are coated in the same brown tone as the “X” on the dining table, which makes them a nice match.

Overall, the patio furniture dining set I chose is a tad bit darker than the sofa set, but the colors are all in the same family so I think it all works really well together.

To top it off, I purchased this woven rattan serving tray, which is also from the BHG line. The wicker matches perfectly to our sofa set! We grill out all the time when we have nice weather, so it’s already made carrying our tableware outside much for efficient.
