Over the past month we’ve been working on updating our home office. I’m so excited to share the vision and progress of this room.

Below is the mood board for my home office. This wasn’t exactly the original design, but it’s pretty close. I ended up using this abstract horse print in my office and I loved it so much that it ultimately changed the initial design a bit.
Before we get into the renovation, here’s a look at the ‘before’:
Here’s a post with more photos of my old office.
Below you can see the progress so far! First, I painted the office ultra pure white by Behr. The board and batten wall was a gray color but I really wanted to lighten up the room. I love how fresh the white paint feels!
This sideboard is working out so well in our office. It houses our files, our printer, and our media station. There’s a cut-out in the back of the cabinet where the cords can go through to plug in to the wall. It’s a beautiful white oak color with a subtle whitewash look. It also has soft-close doors and is very high quality.
The wall art is an abstract horse herd print that I bought and then had printed and custom-framed by Frame It Easy. I got the size 48×36 with the metal ashford frame. There’s also an option to have the print directly printed and framed through the seller on Etsy.
I got a 17” vase along with the same 12” vase to display on the sideboard. These vases are actually not very heavy even though they look like they are. They have a beautiful ribbed texture which gives this view an organic, earthy vibe.
The faux eucalyptus stems are very affordable and are from Walmart!
The flooring we have in our office is called Palka Signature from Flooret. I have a post all about this flooring if you’d like more information on it.
Below is some of the decor that I bought for my office. Most of the decor is for my black bookcase, which is across the room from the sideboard. I’ll share the bookcase in my office reveal post but if you’d like to see it as we renovate it, be sure to follow my Instagram stories.
I’m so excited for my office renovation and can’t wait to reveal the completed space in the coming weeks!
