We recently bought a new round coffee table which was actually intended for our main living room, but ended up in our sitting room. Come take a little tour of this room to see why we love this round coffee table in this space!

I’ve changed our sitting room’s layout around so much because of the walkway that is needed in this space. Like typical cookie-cutter style homes, this room sits to the left of the front door, and one must walk through the room to enter the dining room behind it.
I needed to create a walkway area from our front entry area to our dining room, which goes directly through the middle of this room. Below, you can see where the dining room connects to this room.
In the below photo, you can see where our stair railing starts, which is the front entry area. Using the round coffee table layout, I was able to carve out a pathway directly from the front entry to our dining room, which you can also see below!
I love the way this room came together with the round coffee table. We initially brought the coffee table to our sitting room because it is on the taller side. In this room, our sofa‘s seat height is about the same height of the table, which makes them look great together. Our sofa in our other living room is a bit shorter, which made the table look a bit off.
I simply slanted the accent chairs on either side of the round coffee table to create a cozier vibe. Here’s a look at the old layout of this room, when we still had our rectangular coffee table.
The coffee table in this room is actually a nesting table. This is larger table and can be paired with the smaller, matching nesting table. I may add the smaller table one day, but I do like how it looks on its own.
We use this room quite a bit for family time. Jason and I like to enjoy morning and/or afternoon coffee in here. My six-year-old also loves to snuggle on the sofa in here when she wants quiet time.
As far as decor for our round coffee table, I always keep it pretty simple. I don’t like to have too much decor on our coffee tables because of my one-year-old daughter. She is surprisingly good about not breaking items, but I still like to use affordable decor options in case there is an accident! In the below photo, I’m using this Amazon vase and two small black vases from Target that aren’t sold anymore.
