Ideas for budget-friendly and simple Christmas decorations.
Welcome to my Christmas living room! With a newborn to care for, I decided to keep my Christmas decor really simple and budget-friendly this year.

I started by adding this affordable (under $80) 7′ skinny tree in the corner of my living room. I’ve had this tree for a couple years and it’s holding up great. It’s the perfect smaller sized tree for a bare corner of your home.
Next, I added this “tree skirt” to my tree. It’s actually a faux snow blanket and I think it’s the perfect tree skirt hack. I’ve been doing this for years and it has kept me from buying an expensive tree collar. Plus, I think it looks nice!
I also swapped in my olive pillow covers. These ones are super affordable and they come in a set of two. I use them every holiday season plus I like to keep them out during other times of the year as well.
To create a cohesive look in my Christmas living room, I added black ribbon as my tree topper and to all my window wreaths. I used black satin ribbon for my window wreaths and tied a large black velvet ribbon into a bow for my tree topper.
The last addition to this space is these cute burlap trees. I’ve had these a couple years as well and I get so many compliments on them. They are perfect for so many areas of your home. I’ve used them on my fireplace hearth and on my buffet table. This year I simply propped them to the side of my couch.
There ya have it! I kept it super simple this year in my living room. I may make some changes here and there to the space but for now, I’m loving the simplicity!
