I’m so excited to share with you my rustic and blush spring home tour! If you have been following along on Instagram, you may have seen a sneak peek of some of these photos. I’m so excited to share the complete tour with you today. I’ve teamed up with the amazing Monica from Monica Wants It along with many other talented bloggers to share our spring homes with you. If you’re coming over from Twelve on Main, welcome! Isn’t Sara’s style amazing? Her farmhouse is like one out of my dreams.
This year, I decided to bring a little color into my home for spring. Normally, my home is mostly neutral but I have recently been craving some spring hues. In preparation for spring decorating, I made two mood boards: one for rustic spring decor finds and one for pastel spring decor finds. I really wanted elements of both looks, so I combined the two looks to create a rustic and blush spring home.

Decorating for the birth of each new season always makes me feel a bit nostalgic. This year is no different.
Growing up, I always decorated with my mom at the start of every season and almost every holiday. She welcomed me as her helper and taught me so much about color combination, how to create vignettes and displays, and unique ways to use decor in rooms. I was always smitten with the decor she owned and loved rooting through all her bins and boxes of decor. She even dubbed me the family ‘rotto-rooter.’ I embrace it.
One of my favorite decorating activities was scavenging through my mom’s floral bins so I could create new looks. I specifically remember placing different types of faux greenery on top of her antique coat closet, letting garland hang down just so around the cabinet. I decorated our dining room and living room window sills with stems and berry branches. I made and hung wreaths. I created faux flowers arrangements. You name it, I did it.
As much the bins of florals played a huge role in our decor, we were no strangers to real and fresh flowers.
My mom bought grocery store flowers like they were going out of style, which I have come to appreciate now. She taught me how to make the prettiest arrangements using different types of flowers. Now that I have my own home, I always want fresh flowers at every turn. There’s just something about the beauty of flowers that makes me feel good.
So here we are, the start of a new season, and the memories of decorating with my mom from my childhood home come rushing back. With those memories in mind, I decided to use a combination of real and faux flowers, just like mama did.
Sometimes it’s so difficult to tell whether flowers are real or not, especially when you have faux and real flowers sprinkled throughout your home.
I made the ‘stay awhile’ sign a couple months ago because I knew it would be great for year-round usage. I got the PDF text on Etsy, got it printed at staples and then I framed it. I love how it turned it out, and it was fairly inexpensive.
PSSTT…I made a few changes to my mantel! Check it out here along with a ton of other awesome mantels.
One of my new purchases this year is the floral throw pillow above. It seemed fitting alongside my flower theme.
I also grabbed this amazing stand from Home Goods. I had been searching for a two-or-three tiered tray for at least six months but I could never find one that had the wood tones I wanted, until I saw this guy. At first glance, I actually passed him over and then as I was going through my second pass around Home Goods I grabbed him. Please tell me I’m not the only one who goes through the store multiple times during one visit!
Now that I have the stand in my home, it’s actually one of my favorite decor pieces. I still can’t believe I passed him over the first time around.
The dough bowl below has actually been passed down in my family for years. I love that it has seen so much history in my family. It is incredibly special to me.

I kept my entryway pretty simple. I snagged the ‘hello spring’ printable free from Christina’s Adventures.
I ran out of ink in my printer and had to print it in black and white. I love the green leaves in the printable but I like how they look in black and white as well!

I really went wild in my bedroom. This much color is so out of the norm for me, but I absolutely love the brightness and boldness of the color pops.
One of the first things I do every year as spring approaches is switch out our heavy comforter for lighter quilts. I immediately feel a sense of renewed energy just by swapping my bedding. It’s the little things.
We have the Demarlos furniture set, and I absolutely love it. Jason and I agreed on this set because it has the perfect combination of wood and fabric. He wanted wood and I wanted fabric, so we met in the middle.
This buffet is one of my favorite furniture pieces in our home. We splurged on it a couple years ago and I have never regretted spending that money.
The mirror above the buffet was passed down to us by my mother in law. It’s brass; we just painted it white.
