This Dollar Tree fall decor centerpiece is so easy to make and is incredibly budget-friendly! I’m a huge fan of The Dollar Tree and using decorative items from there to make DIY decor that looks expensive.
This is one of my favorite centerpieces I’ve made to date, and I’m so excited to teach you how to replicate this look!
HERE’S HOW TO MAKE THIS EASY DIY DOLLAR TREE FALL DECOR CENTERPIECE:
STEP 1: GET ALL MATERIALS FOR THIS PROJECT
To make this easy Dollar Tree DIY fall decor centerpiece, you’ll need:
- A vase. (I got two urn style vases from Bed, Bath, & Beyond. They were in the sale section and just a few dollars for each!) You’ll want your vase to be opaque so that you can’t see the foam insert you’ll add into it.
- A foam piece. (I got mine from Walmart. You can also find this at any craft store like Michaels.)
- Faux berry stems. (I got the burgundy and white faux berry stems from The Dollar Tree during Christmas time, as part of their Christmas line.)
- Other faux fall stems, like leaves and greenery. (I took mine off an old fall wreath that I wasn’t using.)
STEP 2: INSERT FOAM PIECE INTO YOUR VASE
Usually, foam like this comes in large rectangles. You can just cut it down to the size you need using a knife. You want it to be fairly small, just large enough to sit in your vase and end about half way up your vase.
From the outside, you shouldn’t be able to see the foam piece at all.
STEP 3: INSERT FAUX BERRY STEMS & OTHER STEMS
You’ll need to cut your stems down to the right size. You can test this buy cutting a stem and sticking it in the foam.
Your faux stems should hang out a bit over your vase.
Keep inserting more and more stems.
Eventually, you’ll have something that looks like this:
STEP 4: DO THE DETAIL WORK & REARRANGE
I wanted some of my stems to stick out of the top and others to drape over the sides.
You don’t have to have every single piece stick in the foam. Some can just simply sit in between other stems.
The goal is to make it look natural and elegant, so rearrange as much as you need to to get your desired look.

I love how it turned out! It was such an easy and fun DIY project that looks a whole lot more expensive than Dollar Tree items.
