RUSTIC CHRISTMAS MANTEL WITH TRADITIONAL COLORS

This Christmas mantel with all the red and green touches was one I created last year, and it is one of my most popular photos on Instagram. I had to include it as the first photo in this roundup because so many people discovered me just through this photo alone! Isn’t that crazy?!

The rustic, snow capped trees are one of my favorite parts of this look. You’ll notice I use them in a lot of my mantel looks from years’ past. Check out more about this rustic Christmas mantel in this post. The Christmas sign is from Smallwood home.

NEUTRAL AND RUSTIC CHRISTMAS MANTEL WITH HINTS OF RED

This is another photo that made its rounds on Instagram, and I’m so thankful! It was even included in a list of Christmas mantel decor ideas on oprahmag.com.

I particularly love how comfy and cozy this photo is with all the fuzzy white pillows and glow from the lights.

CHRISTMAS TREE WITH BERRIES AND BURLAP

I loved creating this look with my tree last year, so much so that I did a very similar look this year!

My Christmas tree is one that my mom gave me that we used during my childhood. It is about twenty years old and still going strong! It’s originally from Bed, Bath, and Beyond, though they don’t sell it anymore.

To decorate the artificial tree, I used lights, burlap ribbon, red berry stems, and white, snowy ornaments.

RUSTIC CHRISTMAS MANTEL WITH NEUTRAL COLORS, NO LIGHTS

I actually put this look together after Christmas and kept it for a New Year’s look and into the winter season. Keeping it neutral colors makes it seem more like winter and less like Christmas, to me.

I removed all red touches, the Christmas lights and the Christmas tree. I kept it pretty simple on the mantel with a rustic, yet elegant vibe.

DIY STAIRCASE GARLAND USING REAL PINE BRANCHES

I loved this DIY stair garland from two years ago! I actually might do something similar this year – who knows! I created a full tutorial about how to make it if you’re interested in recreating this look.

In short, I cut a bunch of real pine branches off my own pine trees in my yard. I attached a cheap garland to my staircase and then hot glued each branch to the cheap garland. It took awhile to make, but it was easy to do and makes for such a statement.

It lasted 3-4 weeks before it started turning brown. It also smelled nice for the first couple days!

SNOWY LOOK USING PILLOW STUFFING AS SNOW

Two years ago I went all out on the snowy look. I loved it so much, and it even got me noticed on Instagram! My home was photographed that year and I got a ten page spread in The Cottage Journal’s Country Cottage Christmas 2019. It was such an amazing experience.

I used pillow stuffing from old pillows as faux snow! It was a great budget-friendly option that allowed me to decorate lots of spaces with a similar look throughout.

CLASSIC AND ELEGANT DINING ROOM

Last year, I went with a traditional and elegant look in the dining room. I was craving red tones so I added touches of red by making bows for my chairs and wreath!

You might also notice that last year I went with a pre-made garland on the staircase. It was nice but I definitely loved the DIY garland more.

TABLE DECORATIONS

This look from last year’s dining room table was pretty simple to make. I actually wrote a whole post about it if you want to recreate this look!

THE TWO TREE LOOK

What is it about having two Christmas trees in a room that make it feel like it’s next-level?! For the last two years I used two Christmas trees on either side of my dining room hutch.

This year, I no longer have my hutch so I’ll be doing something different, but I did love having two trees in this room for the past couple years.

COZY BEDROOM VIBES

Every year I like to decorate my bedroom because it brings me so much joy. I always put a Christmas tree in my room and last year I even hung up some garland so extra festive vibes.
