One of my favorite ways to decorate for Christmas is to swap out my photos for Christmas photos. If you have Christmas family photos, this would be a great time to put those in your frames around your home.

If you don’t have any family Christmas photos, another option is to make some DIY Christmas art. That’s what I did here!

These rustic trees are so easy to make and they’re the perfect accent to your rustic Christmas decor!

How to make easy Rustic Tree Wall Art as DIY Christmas Decorations

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

For this project, you’ll need:

A black marker
Paper (I used white computer paper)
Photo frames (I used some 8×10 frames I had around the house)

Step 2: Draw Rustic Trees

I told you this project was easy! All you need to do is hand draw some rustic trees with your black marker. I made my trees almost the entire height of the paper because I wanted them pretty large.

The beauty of this project is that the trees are supposed to be rustic looking, so they all can look a little different.

I started by drawing the trunk of the tree and then extending limbs each way. If you’re not sure how to draw them, try to copy mine as best you can.

Here’s what one of my trees looked like when I was done. It is very rustic looking and kind of looks like chicken scratch! But, don’t worry, once you put them in frames and hang they up, they look so good!

Step 3: Put them in frames

Now it’s time to put them in your frames and hang them up. I used computer paper so my 8 x 10 frames worked perfectly for this project.

I made four trees so replace the photos above my bed. Here’s how they look all done.

I think they’re the perfect accent to my rustic Christmas bedroom decor!
