Target is one of my favorite places to shop for beautiful home products. I can’t help but stop in to look at the decor section when I’m shopping for other things. I know I’m not the only one!
When I’m shopping for decor and furniture for my home, I like to shop purposefully for products that help me create a balanced look that is both casual and elegant.
That way, my family can feel comfortable while also enjoying a space that looks beautiful. I always like to say that my goal is to create a home where you feel like you can come in and prop your feet up but also feel like you can host a gathering in as well.
Lots of my home decor and furniture products come from Target because Target carries such a beautiful selection of home decor and furniture that is affordable and stylish. I particularly love the Threshold line and the Hearth & Hand with Magnolia line.
Both product lines offer beautiful, quality products. Below is a list of my favorite Target home decor items and furniture products that I have in my home.
My Top 10 Favorite Target Home Decor & Furniture Items
1. French Country Mirror
Ahhhh, this mirror. This mirror is so darn gorgeous, who couldn’t love it? I actually eyeballed this mirror for months before I bought it. I found it online and it was always sold out, so I got on the wait list to be emailed when it was back in stock.
I highly suggest getting on the wait list if it’s sold out. You’ll get emailed as soon as it’s back in stock.
Funny enough, I was perusing in Target one day and they had this mirror IN THE STORE. I took that as a sign that it was supposed to be mine.
One of the great things about this mirror is its size. I knew it was large when I saw the dimensions of it online and when I saw it in store, but I didn’t realize just how big it was until I brought it home and propped it up on my buffet.
I’ve had several other mirrors on that buffet before, so when I put the French Country mirror there, I realized just how big it was in comparison to the other vases that had been there. It really makes a statement!
The other great things about this mirror are its beauty and its price.
The frame on it is gorgeous, especially with the arch features in the corners. And the cost, you really can’t beat it. I haven’t found one that I like as much as this one for such a low price.
It truly is a gem of a find at Target!
2. Decorative Vase
This decorative vase is the perfect, elegant accent to any room. It has soft, neutral hues, so any flowers will be a perfect addition.
This is a really large vase, and bigger is better when it comes to decor, in my opinion. Bigger pieces like this make a statement and make a room feel more upscale.
When you have lots of little chotskies everywhere, a room can feel cluttered and chaotic. A few large, investment decor pieces always win!
The height of the vase also makes it perfect for tall-stem flowers. I personally love an abundance of tall-stemmed flowers in my vases, as they become the showstopper of a room.
I highly suggest this vase, and if you don’t have any fresh stems to put in it, try adding some faux ones. I keep six, pink faux peonies stems in my vase (that are from Walmart) when I don’t have any real flowers, and I get compliments on them all the time!
3. Glass Jug Vase
I have two of these glass jug vases, and I love having two because they make great end pieces on either side of a piece of furniture.
I’ve put them on my buffet table in the past, and they look equally as great there as on my bedroom dresser.
In the above photo, they have faux lamb’s ear in them, but I also love putting these faux eucalyptus stems in them.
The jug vase is a versatile piece and looks great without any stems as well. The best part is they go with pretty much any type of decor and any type of color scheme, since they’re clear.
I have the smoke version of the glass jug vases, but they also have a completely clear version of the glass jug vases as well, which are equally as beautiful.
4. X-Back Counter Stool
I’m obsessed with French country style, so when I was shopping for counter stools for our kitchen, I always leaned toward ones with fabric, something similar to our dining room chairs.
I realized though that practically, fabric-covered chairs wouldn’t be a great option for our family since we have a toddler. I needed something I could easily wipe down.
When I found these X-Back Counter Stools, I knew they’d be the perfect fit. They are practically the same exact color as my kitchen cabinetry, which make them ideal for the space.
They were easy to assemble (I would know, I put them together), and if I can do it, you can do it!
When I put them together, I realized they have a really beautiful finish. They have that brush-stroke, distressed finish and a natural chippy-ness to them.
These stools are both practical and beautiful. We’ve had them for months now, and I love them even more than the day I bought them – and so does the rest of my family.
5. X-Back Dining Chair
These dining chairs are the same as the counter stools except the color of them. They are in the color “driftwood brown” and are a nice contrast to the antique white color of the counter stools.
The color of the dining chairs matches my granite counter tops perfectly, which make them a nice addition to our kitchen.
They are super easy to wipe down, which was one of our goals when shopping for dining chairs. We use them several times a day, and they are both comfortable and sturdy.
What I especially love is the slight leg cutouts, which you can see in the above picture. The slight humps on the chair make it comfy for sitting in for long periods of time.
At one point, I put cushions on them just to try it out. I don’t think they made that much of a difference in comfort and they were harder to keep clean, so I just leave them as is, without any cushions.
We love these dining chairs, and they’re one of our most-used pieces from Target.
6. Natural Jute Braid Charger
I get so many questions about these chargers. I bought them at Target awhile back, and they’ve since become a staple around here!
I keep them out on our dining table practically all year long, so I think they were a great investment.
You can easily dress them up with elegant decor to make a more sophisticated look or dress them down with everyday decor for a more casual vibe.
I highly recommend these jute chargers.
7. Candle Holder
I use these candle holders all the time! I own six of them, three in the small size and three in the large size.
Surprisingly, whether you buy the short or the tall ones, they’re the same price. In the photo above, the Target candle holders are the three tallest ones. The other two, very short candle holders are real silver ones that my mom gave me.
The candle holders from Target are very elegant and remind me of something you would find in Crate and Barrel or Pottery Barn. They’re classic looking and perfect for dressing up a space.
My favorite way to use them is to cluster them in a vignette. They look great as part of a table centerpiece, displayed on a fireplace mantel, on a dining room buffet, or styled on practically any surface!
The candle holders a staple piece in my home, for sure.
8. Executive Chair
The driftwood finish and the gray upholstery are the perfect combination on this executive chair.
As you might imagine, it gets a lot of use being in our home office. It’s super comfortable and is big enough for me to sit pretzel-style in, which is my favorite way to sit and do work.
I also love the padded arms on in because I’m an arm rester. I always use my arm rests in my car, and that doesn’t change when I’m in work mode.
It’s an all-around great chair, and gives a really sophisticated vibe in our home office. I highly recommend it!
9. Square Outdoor Lantern
You may not be able to tell from the photo, but this outdoor lantern, which I actually love using indoors, is quite large.
It’s almost 2′ tall, which definitely makes it a staple piece. I have a battery-operated pillar candle in mine, which makes it easy to transition outdoor if I want a soft glow.
It doesn’t rust either, so that’s a huge bonus.
If you’re looking for a large, practical and sophisticated-looking lantern, this is it!
10. Davos Rug
This rug!! I’m so obsessed with this rug, and I get so many compliments from you all on Instagram. You know how to make a girl smile.
I have the light gray and ivory version of the rug, and it’s so darn beautiful. The ivory geometric outlines are raised, which makes this rug have a really sophisticated style.
The only issue I’ve had with this rug is that it sheds very slightly on the edges. Every so often, I see a bit of shedding that needs to be swept up. I’m a little bit obsessive about cleaning my home, so it’s never really been a problem for me.
Other than that, this rug has been a perfect addition to our dining room. It gives our dining room an extra layer of pretty.
I love decorating in layers, and adding a rug is a great way to give your room more dimension.
BONUS! 11. Chenille Area Rug
I originally bought our living room area rug from Target, but it’s no longer sold there. Luckily, I found the exact same one from another seller.
I wanted to include this rug in this list of favorites because it truly is a favorite of mine, and being that I originally bought it from Target, I thought it should be part of the list.
It is such a durable rug. We’ve had it for at least a year and it is easily our most-used rug in our whole house.
The color scheme of the rug allows it to hide the mess of high-traffic areas. You can’t notice when it gets dirty because the dirt blends into the rug so well.
Unlike the davos rug above, the chenille rug doesn’t shed at all. It really is the perfect rug if you’re looking for practicality and beauty.
BONUS! 12. Knitted Design Throw Pillow
I really thought when I made this list I could condense my list of favorites to just ten, but clearly that’s not the case.
I had to add this throw pillow in here because I absolutely love it. I own two of them and they are some of our daily throw pillows that we use on our living room couch.
The knitted design is so darn cute, and I get compliments on them all the time.
I’ve had these throw pillows for awhile now, and unlike some other throw pillows I’ve had, these ones have held up really well to getting tons of use.
