I’m thrilled to reveal our cozy, comfy, and neutral-toned guest bedroom. This room has been a work in progress over the last year. I’ve slowly added furniture and decor to create an inviting guest retreat, and I’m so happy with how it all came together.
When designing a guest retreat, the most important element is the comfort of the bedding, after all, that is where your guests will cozy up to get a good night’s sleep. I was gifted the most luxurious bedding from April Notes including the beige linen sheet set with standard pillowcases, the cream white linen blend waffle blanket, and the beige linen duvet cover. I cannot get over the quality and beauty of all the bedding products!
Below you can see the beautiful texture of the waffle blanket. It’s made from a premium quality European linen and cotton blend. It’s also certified free from harmful chemicals and synthetic dyes. The blanket size is perfect for covering a queen-sized bed, which is what I have in our guest bedroom.
I have the queen size duvet cover, which is made from high quality European flax. It’s thick, durable and super soft. It is also certified free from harmful chemicals. The duvet has a shell button closure and interior ties in all corners to hold the comforter in place. It’s such a dreamy duvet cover and I highly recommend it!
The queen size beige linen sheet set and standard size pillowcases are the same color and material as the duvet cover! These sheets have natural body temperature regulating properties, which is perfect for year-round use. The bottom and top sheet are a great size. The bottom sheet has room to spare over my mattress, so if you have a thicker mattress or a mattress topper, these sheets will definitely work for that!
One feature I absolutely love on the pillowcases is that they have a deep envelope enclosure, ensuring that the pillow stays put and doesn’t show at all. Everything is so high quality and luxurious.
I am so thrilled with the bedding and I know my guests will be too. The sheets, blanket and duvet cover are the perfect neutral tones, and they’ll go with any design as I change the room through the seasons.
While I love neutral tones, adding a pop of black here and there is something I love to do in all the rooms in my home. I have affordable, black nightstands on either side of the bed. They are on the smaller size, which is perfect for this small guest bedroom. On one nightstand, I have a vase filled with my favorite plum-colored stems. On the other nightstand, I have a brown lamp and bud vase.
On the other side of the guest bedroom, I have quite a few pops of black and brown. On our affordable dresser, I have a framed photo, two black vases with natural limonium, a knot candleholder with a brown candle, and an affordable round mirror.
Both windows in our guest bedroom feature custom pinch-pleat curtains in the color beige white. These curtains have a blackout liner behind them.
On the wall, I hung wall art that I made. This wall art was an old Christmas painting I had that I was no longer using, so I painted over it in light and neutral tones. I think it works perfectly in here!
The queen size bed in here is the Rochelle Performance Bouclé Bed. It is made of performance bouclé fabric and has beautiful soft curves. I absolutely love it paired with the new bedding! It feels like a luxurious retreat in here now, and I couldn’t be happier with how it all came together.
