This year, with the help of Wayfair, I put together a moody Christmas tablescape. For the Christmas table decorations, I did a twist on the classic red and green tones and opted for a moodier version using deep red, black, brown and green tones. I am loving this color combination for the holiday season.

Below is a look at the flat lay of the moody Christmas tablescape. This tablescape would be a great option if you’re hosting Christmas dinner or having a dinner party throughout the upcoming season.

For each place setting, I layered a salad plate, a dinner plate, a gold charger, and a jute braid charger. I placed brown napkins that I had on hand, between the plates.

I used beautiful black cutlery for each place setting as well. I especially love the shape of this flatware set. Using a more interesting type of flatware elevates the look of the tablescape.

To make the table runner, I added four cedar garland strands down the center of the table. These garlands are 6′ long each and are incredibly realistic.

I used a set of three bells to compliment the cedar runner. Pictured below is the largest of the three bells. I love these particular gold bells because of the textured look. They are also a great size!

In addition to the bells, I added several brown and red velvet ornaments from this set. There are three sizes of each ornament which adds interest to the table runner.

The candle holders I used are older ones that are no longer available. They were actually silver so I spray painted them gold.

I paired the candle holders with pleated taper candles. The candles are a beautiful maroon/brown tone that compliments the ornaments so well.

Overall, the runner was pretty simple to make. I stuck the candle holders and bells between the cedar garland and sporadically placed the ornaments.

On either side of the window, I added pleated candles to my gold sconces. I love how they duplicate the look from the table.

I have six black dining chairs around the table. My chairs are fairly new, and we love the style and quality of them!

My dining table is from Restoration Hardware but is no longer sold. This table is a similar, more budget-friendly option.

Our ceiling light is relatively new as well. This light from Wayfair looks like an exact dupe!

Below are several more images of the moody Christmas tablescape so you can soak in all the details!

I hope you love this tablescape as much as I do and can take away some inspiration for your table setting this holiday season!
