Welcome to our French country living room! We recently purchased two new reclining chairs for this space and they have quickly become our favorite napping chairs.

I don’t quite know where to begin with this post because of everything that’s going on right now. We are on day-I-have-no-clue of this quarantine and the uncertainty of it all is, I think, the hardest part for me.
I decided today that I would stop focusing on all the negative and uncertainty and focus on what I can do – and that is continue making my home cozy for my family. In fact, there’s no better time to do this than now considering how much time we all have to spend at home.
We recently purchased two reclining chairs, and I’m IN LOVE with them already! They are perfect for napping and lounging and watching TV and drinking coffee in and pretty much all the things.
I’d been on the hunt for several months to find the perfect chairs for this space, and I actually almost bought different ones. They weren’t recliners – and I think that would’ve been a major fail if I would’ve bought non-reclining chairs for this space.
They directly face our TV, so I really wanted to find some chairs that would be comfy to relax in after a long day. I love that we can easily push back and recline them…I’m SO GLAD I went with recliners.
The other criteria on my chair hunt was the size of the chairs, the color of the chairs and the material type. Despite having linen fabric sofas that I love, I really wanted a leather of some sort for our chairs – mostly for easy clean up.
Jason and I are avid coffee drinkers so coffee spills is a concern for me! I figured these chairs would do the trick – they are made of a faux leather.
They’re also a great size. Jason and I are both around 5′ 6” and they work perfectly for us. I can definitely see them being great for taller or shorter people, though. They’re just a great all around chair!
They are a very similar gray-brown tone to my beloved coffee table – just a little bit darker. That’s another reason I chose them. I knew they’d match the space well.
My French country living room is almost complete y’all and I’m tickled pink about it. I do have another wall I want to tackle that is behind the other couch. Currently it’s bare but I have big plans for it! Make sure to subscribe so you stay up to date on our projects!
Giving this space some spring vibes today made me feel calm and I didn’t think about being quarantined at all! So that’ll be my goal these next few days, weeks…. I’ll try to focus on creating beautiful spaces for spring!
I hope you’re staying sane in your home and finding creative ways to keep you busy!
