I’m so thrilled that you’re here and am excited to share my living room with you!
I’m definitely feeling the Christmas spirit around here. It was so much fun to create this fun, cabin-inspired rustic mantel with my daughter. My favorite part about this mantel and living room decor is that it’s fun for the whole family to enjoy, with all the festive pops of red.

Last year I created a neutral Christmas mantel so this year I was really feeling all the red. I snagged this beautiful Merry Christmas sign about a month ago when it was on major sale. I just thought it was so darn cute. Plus, Hannah is learning her letters so what better way for her to learn than to read the signs around our home. HA!
My favorite part of this rustic Christmas mantel is the cascading branches layered with all the rustic goodness. I pretty much went through all my Christmas decor boxes and grabbed anything and everything that looked rustic. A couple years ago I got the fun, snowy Christmas tree ornaments and I thought they’d look perfect attached to the branches.
Don’t be afraid to use decor in different ways than they’re intended. Christmas ornaments, for example, are so fun to use in creative ways over the holidays.
On the hearth, I added two 3′ fir trees with burlap, which were a serious steal!
I kept the family-friendly Christmas look going over on our couch and added lots of soft pillows and cozy blankets.
Also, how sweet is this Christmas train? It’s actually a decorative piece but Hannah loves playing with it, so I keep it out for her on the coffee table where she can easily reach it.
The most important thing to me when decorating our living room is that it’s comfy and cozy for our family to enjoy. This is the place where we spend most of our time so I try and keep it as family friendly and festive as possible.
This chaise is my absolute favorite place to curl up when it start to get colder. It’s right next to the fireplace, which means it’s in the optimal location in our home! All the warm and fuzzy blankets don’t hurt either.
I’m so ready to get a fire going in this fireplace when we get some wood. The weather has definitely been cold enough and now that this spot officially decorated for Christmas, it must only mean that a wood-burning fire is next on the list.
Thanks for joining me on this tour of our rustic Christmas mantel and cozy Christmas living room. I hope you got some ideas for your home this season!

I normally get so tired of seeing the color red in Christmas decor, but your use of it with the white and beige neutral colors in your room is just amazing. I loved it all.
