Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and I’ve got tons of ideas for you for Thanksgiving decorations! These are great ideas for you if you’re hosting or just having family or friends over around the holiday.
From greeting your guests at the door in style to pretty tablescape ideas to creating a cozy retreat on the couch – and everything in between – I’ve got you covered with decor ideas this Thanksgiving!
Here are beautiful ideas for Thanksgiving Decorations:
1. A gorgeous basket o’ flowers
This basket o’ flowers is the perfect statement piece for any Thanksgiving setting. You can add orange and red flowers like I did to keep it really festive for the holiday.
Learn how to use real flowers to make this and not have the water seep out!
2. An “overflowing” flower arrangement
The trick to making this arrangement look like it’s overflowing is the seeded eucalyptus. The only place I’ve found this is at Trader Joe’s. Your local flower shop may have it as well, so it’s worth asking about.
All of the flowers in this arrangement are from Trader Joe’s so it was worth the extra hike for me to get them!
3. A hydrangea wreath
This wreath is a great welcoming piece if you’re having guests over for Thanksgiving!
The best part is that it was made from real hydrangeas that were turning brown and falling off the stem. I picked them from my mom’s yard and made this wreath.
See the full tutorial on how to make this wreath using dead hydrangeas from your yard.
4. An easy pumpkin basket
Isn’t this the sweetest little basket o’ pumpkins? This is the perfect idea for Thanksgiving decorations if you have a small empty space that could use some pretty decor.
I just grabbed some faux pumpkins, a couple faux greenery stems, and some random fall and Thanksgiving decorations, like flower petals and parts from a potpourri pack, I found in my decor drawer.
5. An outdoor Thanksgiving ‘scape
Who says Thanksgiving dining has to be served inside? Weather permitting, this pumpkin tablescape would look beautiful for all your guests to enjoy.
The best part is that you can repurpose all those pumpkins you bought for a center display.
6. A tray of pumpkins & arrangement for an inviting entryway display
A few touches of fall go a long way as Thanksgiving decorations.
I simply set out one of my copper trays and added a few white pumpkins. Then, I placed several faux eucalyptus stems in my large decorative vase! Easy peasy and it sets the perfect tone when guests arrive.
7. A decked out fireplace mantel
This fun mantel was created using pumpkins, eucalyptus garland, candles, and mirrors. A few staples pieces go a long way!
I don’t know about you, but hanging out in our living room, coffee in hand, enjoying some pumpkin pie after Thanksgiving dinner, and staring at this mantel view, seems just about perfect.
8. A rustic fall centerpiece
I created this easy rustic fall centerpiece using faux pumpkins and spray painting them copper.
I simply added some eucalyptus stems (see a trend, here?) and a matching wreath to complete the look.
9. An elegant fall tablescape
This fall tablescape is the epitome of elegance, with just a bit of casual tied in with the buffalo check bows.
A distressed tray in the middle with classy Thanksgiving decorations make this a show-stopping centerpiece.
10. An easy Dollar Tree centerpiece
Would you believe these gorgeous berry stems are from Dollar Tree?! They are, and I found them in the Christmas floral section.
Learn how to make this simple, yet beautiful centerpiece as part of your Thanksgiving decorations.
11. Decor around your tv
I don’t know about you, but we spend a lot of our Thanksgiving day lounging and watching the Thanksgiving Day parade.
Spruce up around your TV area and add some touches of Thanksgiving decorations so that you can enjoy the decor even when you’re relaxing.
12. A vignette on your buffet
If you have a buffet in your dining room, add some extra beauty to it by creating a simple vignette.
One of the easiest things to do is to add a Thanksgiving-inspired wreath to your mirror using a wreath hanger!
13. A simple kitchen display
Our family tends to gather in the kitchen during Thanksgiving, so bring a little decorative beauty with some simple Thanksgiving decorations.
A vase of flowers, a cake stand full of pumpkins, and a yummy-smelling candle will suffice!
14. A cozy couch
Guests over on Thanksgiving day surely means that at some point, they’ll be cozying up on the couch.
Add lots of comfy pillows, a cozy blanket, and pretty Thanksgiving decorations on the side table, like this easy faux fall arrangement.
15. A front entry with a Thanksgiving doormat
Isn’t this ‘Thankful & Blessed’ doormat the cutest?! Your guests will love entering (and leaving) your home on Thanksgiving with this beautiful view!
