I actually decorated my hutch soon after Christmas ended because I was ready to remove all the colorful pops of red from around my home. When making the transition from Christmas hutch decor to winter hutch decor, I was determined only use decor pieces I already owned.

Fortunately, I was able to reach this goal after digging out my stash of silver. I’m not sure why, but I tend to forget about my silver if it’s put away. I was fortunate enough to be gifted with several silver pieces from my mom years ago. When I brought them out of storage, they were in serious need of cleaning. Before I could even begin decorating, I had to polish each piece. It took awhile, but it paid off – they cleaned up nice! Here you can see a couple of the pieces up-close:
I juxtaposed my silver with various white tableware I have accumulated over the years. Many of my white tableware pieces are actually thrift store finds!
To give my hutch a rustic and winter vibe, I accented it with birch candles and faux evergreens.
Here’s a rare shot of my whole hutch:
I even kept out my flocked mini trees that I used during Christmas time to add an additional evergreen element to the room.
To top off the rustic vibe, I threw in a few decorative rope balls here and there.
I hope you liked the tour of my winter hutch decor!

Oh my gosh, that shade of blue is SO lovely! Do you know the paint color? It looks so timeless with the white! Pinning this to my decorating board!!
I’m so glad you like it, Cynthia! It’s actually the color “charcoal” from the Rustoleum chalk paint line. I know it looks blueish in my pictures – it’s a bit darker in person. And thanks so much for pinning!
I hope you have a wonderful week!

This hutch looks so beautiful! It’s funny because I have been thinking about decorating for winter now (seeing as Christmas is over) and I feel like the house is so bare with no decorations after Christmas. This is very inspiring! There is something about blue and white that makes me feel comfortable!!!
Thank you so much, Jennifer! I completely agree that that home feels bare after Christmas. I love transitioning to winter decor to try and keep my home feeling warm. I hope you have fun transitioning your decor!
Have a great week!
