This year, I’ve made it a goal of mine to help support more small shops. There are so many beautiful items you can get at small shops, so I decided to round up a list of recent purchases I’ve made at small shops as well as great small shops you can buy from.

FAVORITE ITEMS TO BUY AT SMALL SHOPS:
PILLOW COVERS
You can buy beautiful pillow covers at small shops. There are so many options available from Etsy sellers.

There are tons of beautiful art prints from Etsy sellers as well. Buying digital art prints is a great, budget friendly option for art work and also supports a small business.

CANDLES
Candles are a great item to buy from small shops. My favorite small shop that sells candles is Antique Candle Co.
Some of my favorite scents are:
- Country Pear
- Apple….anything! (They’ve had a couple different apple scents over the past couple years).
- Tree Farm (around the holidays)
- Good Tidings (around the holiday)
- Homemade gingerbread (during fall & winter months)
They alternate candles out depending on the season, but you can’t really go wrong with any candle scent. They are all so good!
FRAMES
If you’re looking for a custom-sized frame, I recommend checking out the shop Frame It Easy. That’s where I got our custom frames for our dining room.

A LITTLE OF EVERYTHING
I also had to mention a local brick and mortar store that I love! Treaty General Store is a boutique located in downtown Frederick, Maryland, and I absolutely love it.
It has a little bit of everything – home goods, women’s clothes, men’s clothes, and wellness items.
I was so thrilled to hear they also have an online store: www.treatygeneralstore.com.
I recently purchased this adorable gold candle snuffer there. Could I have bought a similar one at a large retailer? Of course. But, I wanted to support a small business so I chose to spend my money there.
I’ll definitely be returning to buy more goodies from their store!
