Happy Friday! We’ve been busy bees over here this week trying to nail down the final touches to our kitchen nook area.
Jason finished up the built-in bench and I wrote a complete tutorial on how to build one. Once he finished building the bench, I painted it bright white and got to work designing the rest of the space.

For the small space on the wall, I added beautiful budget-friendly landscape wall art. I searched high and low to find affordable wall art, and I finally found it. I love how this project turned out and I’ll definitely be doing this again in other spaces!
OTHER ITEMS I’VE ORDERED FOR THE KITCHEN NOOK INCLUDE:
- 4-light Pompeii bronze chandelier
- Classic roman shades – I ordered custom shades to fit my window specifically. I chose the color Golden Ecru with an inside mount, cordless lift, flat fold, and a blackout liner.
- Pillow covers – I ordered three new pillow covers for my pillow inserts that will go on the bench in this space. They are this beige pillow cover in 20×20, this peppercorn stripe pillow cover in 20×20, and this brown Chiangmai pillow cover in 20×20.
- Custom cushions – I’m working with a company to get custom cushions made for this space. More to come on that!
We decided to keep our round Pottery Barn table (sadly, it’s no longer sold) for the breakfast nook and added two Poly & Bark dining chairs.
I LOVE how this space is coming together! I can’t believe how much progress we’ve made in just a couple weeks.

This is another outdoor piece that sold out incredibly fast last year! This fire pit is super affordable and doubles as a dining table.
When I searched for a fire pit last year, I really wanted one that had a removable lid so when the fire pit wasn’t in use, I could place the lid on it and we could use it to eat on.
This fire pit dining table is a great find, and we love it!
11×11 Cantiliever Umbrella with Solar Lights
My cantilever umbrella is also in stock right now. I have it for our fit pit area and it’s perfect for the space.
It plays double duty for both the day and night. The umbrella provides shade during the day and the built-in solar light can turn on at night time to provide light.
